On Tuesday the 10th of January Metalcraft's chief demonstrator Mike was kindly invited to The Riverside Special School in Goole.
Mike was given the opportunity to show the pupils of Riverside School just what Metalcraft tools can do during their Science and Technology week. All the children who attended the classes had a chance to use the tools and made a hanging basket bracket to take home with them.
Organised by Anne Batty, subject leader for DT and art and design said "the feedback from the pupils, parents and other members of staff has been overwhelming, the pupils were so proud of their achievements" Anne went on to say "We had a hole school assembly on Friday afternoon to celebrate and show the work undertaken during the Science and Technology week. Without exception, every class that took part in the Metalcraft session, proudly held up their brackets to show the whole school"
Thank you to Anne and all the staff at Riverside Special School for the chance to be involved in their Science and Technology week. A special thanks to all the pupils at the school who were impeccably behaved throughout the day, they are a credit to the school and some of the most polite and well mannered children you could wish to meet.
