The Metalcraft team were this year invited to Shed Fest 2016, the event held in Birmingham was attended by over 60 different Mens shed groups which are part of the UK association.
WHAT IS A MENS SHED?
This is a great initiative to help men who are no longer in full time employment, to remain active and work in a community of like minded individuals. This give their members the chance to create projects through the use of available tools and resources, so that "shedders" get the opportunity to learn new skills for their own individual pursuits but also for community projects. Just like a larger version of a typical mans shed, it's a place where people get together not just to work but as a place of leisure, socialising and maintaining a sense of worth.
It was a fantastic day and we were so encouraged to see such a great deal of interest from the shedders who got a buzz from using Metalcraft tools for the first time.
