Metalcraft’s tools were given top marks by teachers after being demonstrated at a schools conference in Oxford.
The Girls Day Schools Trust (GDST) invited Metalcraft’s senior demonstrator to meet delegates from its 24 schools and two academies, to show how our tools could be used in the teaching of Design and Technology.
Senior demonstrator Andy travelled to Oxford to give a practical demonstration, in which he impressed D&T teachers with how easy and safe they are to use.
Metalcraft’s Director Barry Wood said he’d received fantastic feedback from some of the delegates about how well-received the tools were.
“I gather they were the star of the show and the teachers were genuinely impressed. The tools are perfect for use in education as they’re safe and easy to operate with no need for heat or power, and our starter packs are ideally suited to beginners.
“We’ve had many schools from across the UK and Ireland who have used our tools to make their own products Some of the schools have set up their own manufacturing cells and gone on to sell their products, so we’re helping to create entrepreneurs as well as possibly future engineers!
“We look forward to building a relationship with GDST in the future and hopefully see our tools being widely used among their pupils.”
