Riveting/Bending/Rolling Tools - Bend it-Shape it-Rivet it - Anyway You Want it!

By combining 3 functions into 1 tool, this highly versatile, hand-powered range of tools form the cornerstone of the Metalcraft Practical & Master Workshops.

Riveting provides a quick, safe and easy way of joining metal strip and scroll work together. Riveting eliminates the need for an electric power source as in welding and gives the finished job an authentic and traditional appearance. Naturally, there is the option for welded joints if so desired.

The Bending function provides a useful tool for bending all manner of components out of flat strip, square bar and round wire in a production environment. This function makes it an essential tool in producing frameworks etc for decorative work.

Finally, the Rolling facility enables circles and arcs of varying radii to be easily and consistently rolled without the need for pre-heating of the material.

The accompanying video clips are presented in .wmv (Windows Media Player format). They can be viewed as two different versions, Dial Up (smaller low resolution clip for users with a dial-up connection) and Broadband (larger high resolution version for users with a high speed connection).

EASY TO USE - NO PRE-HEATING OF METAL REQUIRED WHEN RIVETING, ROLLING OR BENDING

1. Riveting is simply achieved by placing the material to be joined (with rivet in pre-punched hole) between the riveting posts on the machine. Use the lever to squeeze up the plain end of the rivet and hence form the joint.

2. For Bending operation, material is placed between the square or diamond shaped former and the side rollers. Lever is operated to gradually bend to the required angle.

3. Rolling is accomplished by repeatedly passing the material backwards and forwards through machine (between side rollers and winding handle roller). As this is done, a gradual increase of pressure on the main handle tightens radius on each pass through machine.

Other Information

All tools are supplied complete with operating instructions and spare parts list. Please note that the maximum working capacity stated is for Hot Rolled Mild Steel Bar & Annealed Bright Mild Steel Bar. Working beyond these limits or with material of greater hardness may reduce the operational life of the machines.
